Saturday AIR Company raced at Opp. A night that called for rain, overcast almost all evening. The residents and fans where treated to a Free ticket to the grandstands with can good and donations. They showed up represented and made the evening very enjoyable. The racing was pretty exciting as well as Justin South Brandon Odum and Hubnter Robbins battled for the lead all 100 laps with Brandon ending up the winner. John and his crew down there do a great job.

This is from the SAS website.

Thank you for making our 40th Birthday a GREAT NIGHT.

With your help we were able to fill 4 vans full of donation items. There was approximatetly 3000 people on the speedway’s grounds last night.

We had over 2500 in granstands and around 400 in the pits. Then add in the employess and Crossover Ministry volunteers! We apologize for the speakers, not sure exactly what happen but it was finally …fixed, and it made it a little more enjoyable.

Pictures are posted on the speedway’s facebook site.

Again thanks to ALL the sponsors that helped make this a HUGE success.

I will agree. The grandstands were absolutely jam packed with race fans. Just increadible at the amount of people packed in there. It was a fantastic racing atmosphere. The pits were also packed with race cars. Over 70 race cars and 12 motorcycles checked into the pits. If there had not been threatening bad weather they would probably have had to turned people away..........And by the way there was some great racing that we got to watch especially the 100 lap PLM race.
